Anatman: one of the central principles of Buddhism, that there is no "self"
As we progress & evolve along with our individual life experiences, both tragedies & joy tend to chip away at our pre-conceived concepts of who we are, our “ego,” and that can sometimes leave us feeling lost, in pain, and empty. But it is often in this emptiness, that we begin to deeply understand & can actually find bliss in the vast ocean of one-ness that we truly are with each other, and all of existence as a whole.
Being able to observe this miracle through our own hearts & eyes is a blessing, a lesson, and a wonder all at once – and one of the reasons I decided to add the hand to this disseminating muse, to suggest & remind that we can objectively take part in what comes our way & how we choose to react to it & allow it to shape who “we are.”
